Or Administration would move offsite and pre-k and Leaps in high school space. Movie rights are paid for this year’s movie nights Library request of Materials- cart, book holder, headphones, keyboard covers, wood for carts totals $415 Attendance Policy has changed to hours instead of days. Also have to take into consideration excused, non excused abscesses. PTA sponsored Spanish Club will be mentored by Vanessa Sciava Openings for executive board members- President 1st vice president, 2nd vice president, Secretary, council delegate Nominating committee to get together and get candidates. President’s Report- Alice Kimmel Book Fair Reflections Fair 15 kids signed up. Creative sessions started this week. PTA has a small budget if a need for materials. Due date 28 November. Judging Early December. Candy Cane Shoppe December 5 2nd Vice President’s report- (Alice Kimmel) Nikki Fach Color Walk was super successful Box tops coming in Possible Chipotle night Treasurer’s Report – Jamie Diamond October Beginning Balance was $7,871.27 ending Balance $8,613.96 Movie Night November 17 movie will be “Sing”. The Westview Fall Book Fair is October 11th and 12th. We need volunteers to help set up, serve as cashier, and take down. Please visit the link to the Signup.
The Camp Imagine! fundraiser is Saturday, November 4th at Fountain Bleu and proceeds benefit their summer camp programs and operating costs. Westview will again be donating a raffle basket this year and we need your help! The basket theme is Date Night and will be filled with gift cards and passes/tickets for local venues and restaurants. If you would like to donate a gift card or make a monetary donation to help purchase items for our basket, please send your contributions to the school by FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20th. You can put them in an envelope marked Camp Imagine! donation and checks can be made out to Westview PTA with Camp Imagine! on the memo line. Thank you for helping to support this amazing local program that benefits so many kids and families every summer right here in Avon Lake.

Please have your students bring in donations throughout the year and put them in their library bin. Money collected will be used to update books in the library.
The Westview Color Walk is in need of volunteers! The date is Friday, October 20th. Please consider volunteering.
Get your shoes laced up for our Annual Wildcat Color Walk. This fundraiser is scheduled for Friday, October 20th during afternoon school hours and will take place rain or shine. This color walk raises funds to support all the wonderful activities offered at Westview, but will also promote health and wellness for our students.
We will be accepting pledges as a flat donation for this year’s Color Walk! Talk to your friends, family, and neighbors, and remember that 100% of the money collected stays at Westview! Students need to have at least $30.00 in donations by October 2, 2017 to be guaranteed an Avon Lake T-shirt and color packet. Any and all pledge amounts help our school and are greatly appreciated! Westview will be participating in the AL Homecoming Parade on Saturday, October 7th at 10:00am. The homecoming committee is looking for volunteers to help craft, donate items, decorate the float the morning of, and chaperone during the parade. This year’s theme is WESTVIEW LOVES THE CLE.
Please consider volunteering. If your child plans to participate in the parade, you will need to provide the completed permission form. During parent/teacher conferences the PTA provides a luncheon for our teachers and staff. This year the luncheon will be held on Thursday, October 12th at noon for 25-30 of our teachers and staff. We are asking for your help! Please consider volunteering to setup, cleanup, or provide food or drinks.
On Wednesday September 27th COSI is coming to Westview. This year's theme is It's Simply Chemistry. Students in all grades will experiment with solutions to determine if they are acids or bases, identify and examine unknown substances and its properties, and produce light, heat, and sound with a chemical reaction, and much more.
